Weekly Fourcast: Helena Bjälkemo

For this Weekly Fourcast, we sat down with Jaybird Ambassador Helena Bjälkemo, an elite Swedish runner and SwimRun competitor. As a full-time working mother of two toddlers, Helena and her husband George (a SwimRun world champion) often struggle to fit training into their busy lives, but as she says, it’s “oh so worth it.”

SwimRun, a multi-stage outdoor race that involves multiple transitions between swimming and running, originated in Sweden with the ÖtillÖ, a 75km course across 26 islands of the Stockholm archipelago.

“SwimRun is a perfect mix of physical challenge and adventure,” Helena says, “an intense nature experience through magical forests and deep waters, shared with a friend.”

Helena’s Recommended Podcasts:

Wiss & Swärm – On the Run, Episode 30: Life hacks (in Swedish)
