Weekly Fourcast: Jeremy Jensen

For this Weekly Fourcast, we sat down with Jaybird Ambassador Jeremy Jensen. Jeremy is an entrepreneur and mountain sports athlete whose interest lies at the intersection of flow and performance science, meaningful lifestyle design, and action/adventure sports. He is the co-founder of Outwild, an event series focused on helping people design more intentional lifestyles, and creator of the Adventurepreneur Playbook Podcast, where he shares the stories of unconventional entrepreneurs and change makers in the outdoor space. He is also a consultant for the Flow Research Collective, which works to decode the science of optimal human performance.

“I try to push myself out of my comfort zone as often as possible, and while it may not always be pleasant in the moment, I always come out the other end feeling accomplished, renewed, and ready to crush the next challenge that comes my way.”

Jeremy’s Recommended Podcasts:

The Adventurepreneur Playbook Podcast, Steven Kotler on Flow, Human Potential, Empathy, and Saving the Planet

Steven is a New York Times Bestselling Author and one of the world’s foremost experts on the science of flow and optimal human performance. Steven is endlessly fascinating, and this conversation explores everything from the role of empathy in solving our environmental crisis to dissecting how action sports athletes like Alex Honnold, Shane McConkey, Laird Hamilton, and Travis Rice have risen to the peak of human potential.

The Rich Roll Podcast, Navy Seal David Goggins is the Toughest Athlete on Earth — Thoughts on Mindset, the 40% Rule & Why Purpose Always Trumps Motivation

This podcast episode will give you a swift kick in the pants, no doubt. Often referred to as the toughest athlete on the planet, David Goggins is the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training (including THREE Hell Weeks), the U.S. Army Ranger School (where he graduated as Enlisted Honor Man) and Air Force tactical air controller training. He also broke a world record for most pull-ups in a 24-hour period (4,030)! Rich also did a follow up episode with David on New Years Day in 2019, and it’s worth checking out that sequel as well.

The Tim Ferriss Show, Seth Godin on How He Manages His Life – Rules, Principles, and Obsessions

I find Seth Godin to be one of the more unique and refreshing voices out there. He’s a very unconventional thinker and frequently questions the status quo on things. This episode takes a deep look at his life, his habits, and his philosophies and I was enthralled all the way through.

The Adventurepreneur Playbook Podcast, Sanni McCandless On Overcoming The Doubts and Limiting Beliefs That Get In The Way Of Living Fearlessly and Building A Fullfilling Life and Career

Sanni is my business partner in a company we run together called Outwild, and aside from being a really rad human, Sanni’s episode if one the most downloaded and for good reason. In my conversation with Sanni, we explore three questions critical for anyone trying to design a more fulfilling and value-aligned lifestyle. 1) What do I really want from life? 2) What are you willing to do to get it? 3) What is holding you back? In my opinion, putting some thought into these questions is one of the best things anyone can do for themselves, no matter what situation or stage of life you’re in.

The Weekly Fourcast is a series of curated podcast recommendations from our athletes, ambassadors and employees. Every week, we’ll drop a new list of four shows and episodes that you need to hear, direct from the Jaybird crew—the perfect audio fuel for the week ahead.
