DO BLUEBUDS X AND X2 SUPPORT MULTI-POINT?

BlueBuds X supports pairing of 8 devices supporting Handsfree & AVRCP profiles (such as iPad & iPhone), with ability to manually toggle connection between the devices from the Bluetooth device list of your Phone/Music device. Some customers maybe use to automatic switching between multiple devices and wonder why Jaybird pairs with up to 8 devices but does not manage the switching automatically. Jaybird engineered a custom Bluetooth platform in order to 1) achieve industry leading performance in signal performance for skip-free music when active or outdoors, and 2) to achieve the remarkable 8 hour battery play time from the smallest Bluetooth earbuds available. This platform has one limitation, which is the absence of automatic switching between multi-paired devices. This decision to trade automatic switching between devices for signal and battery performance has been a home run for Jaybird and it's active customers. Our customer experience team report rave reviews and feedback regarding skip-free music and battery life while there is rarely a negative comment about the absence of automatic switching between devices. Knowing our customer and their needs is priority one at Jaybird. We continue to monitor the feedback from customers and during the life of BlueBuds X from 2012-2015 the customer vote is unanimously in favor of the current performance and feature set.

HOW DO I RESET MY HEADPHONES?

To reset the BlueBuds X and X2, you will get the headset into pairing mode (green and red alternating lights). Once in pairing mode press and hold both volume buttons for 3 seconds. The BlueBuds X or X2 light will indicate the headset is reset by flashing yellow three times. Your headphones are now reset.

If the headset is already turned on in Standby mode, or connected to an audio device, you can get the headset into pairing mode by pressing and holding both volume buttons until you see the light on the headset begin to flash red and green, indicating pairing mode. Follow the steps above at this point to reset your BlueBuds X or X2 headset.

HOW DO I CHARGE MY HEADPHONES?

Analyze the primary power and charging source. We find computers to be a great, safe method. Anything that is less than 1 AMP is safe and recommended. Over charging your battery will quickly reduce the life of the headset, so along with monitoring the power supply, try to keep your charge time limited to 2.5 hours. To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.

THE SOUND CUTS IN AND OUT, DROPS OUT OR CUTS OUT INTERMITTENTLY. WHAT’S GOING ON?

While the range of Bluetooth is 10 meters (33 feet), the optimal range for any Bluetooth stereo device is 2 feet from your music device, particularly outdoors when the signal cannot bounce off walls and ceilings. This rule applies to any brand of Bluetooth stereo device. For the Jaybird brand headset, the headset antenna is located in the right-side earpiece so make sure your device is above your elbow and on your right side for optimal connectivity while outdoors! This will help avoid signal dropouts.

Jaybird recommends the use of armbands for your music device to keep the device and Bluetooth connectivity within optimal range during workouts.

This will allow you to use the Jaybird headphones (in stereo) to listen to MP3's or XM while also using it (in mono) to deal with the phone.
